How is everyone holding up during this time?

My Uncle Hassan always said to me ‘Don’t get too up when you’re up and don’t get too down when you’re down.’ So I’m just trying to be in practice of that everyday.

What do you think is the biggest lesson we can all take away from this past year?

The label isn’t as important as the action. 

Are you working on anything new / specific at the moment?

I’ve been working on some songs over the past year that reflect how everything looks & feels. The interesting part about the pandemic is that everyday is the same but there are these little nuances that change ever so slightly with every new outburst from the public. So I’m documenting these moments as best I can through song & graphic design. Examples of this are my songs like “Revolution is the new Normal” & “Homecoming.” 

How do you balance music with jobs, partners, children, etc.?

Just try to be patient with myself and others and I try to communicate as much as possible.

Craziest memory from touring?

Actually being able to do it. Playing a one off show at PITT for 500 students in 2018 is a highlight though. I never knew they hated Penn State so much.

What areas could Cleveland or Akron Improve on?

Stop trying to be other areas and just be what it is. I’d also like to see Cleveland stop trying to lil bro Akron but I’m not from out here so I stay out of that. 

What’s the next move?

I have no idea so I’m just going to ride all this out like everyone else & see what happens. But I hope to just get better as an artist and a person throughout whatever that process may look like.
