Biggest Inspiration The feelings I get that I can never really define. It forces me to reach for a medium that translates them better than words ever could.

How is everyone holding up during this time?

I am moisturized and thriving thank you for asking.

Tell us about how this project got started?

To be perfectly honest this EP and the last were kind of quilted together with a bunch of tracks that I’d been working on for years and never really finished. Because I made most of them so long ago, I feel so far removed from them now and haven’t listened to them since they were uploaded to bandcamp. But I was just glad to finally get them off my hardrive and into the world.

Are you working on anything new / specific at the moment?

I’m working on all kinds of stuff right now, namely an acoustic album also with songs I’ve had written for years but never really fleshed out. I’ll catch up with myself sooner or later lol. I’ve got 3 songs written for a full length ambient album I’m putting out next year. The other project I’m working on I can’t really speak on yet but I can say I haven’t been this excited about making music since I first started so I know I’m headed in the right direction. I’ve been Djing a lot lately, too.

What would you consider your Best Local Show Experience?

I cried my eyes out seeing Common at the Agora after he played The Light. J Dilla (who has passed on) produced that track and Common was really good friends with him, they grew up in the midwest Hip-hop scene together. He said some really sweet things about him before performing the song. Absolutely surreal to witness such influential slices of that culture intersect in real time.

How do you balance music with jobs, partners, children, etc.?

I take constant inventory of my needs and I do my best to be perfectly honest with myself about the time and energy I have to give. Then I communicate that to my partners and jobs. I put it in terms of bandwidth, I either have it for certain things or don’t and that’s just how it is.

Were you anywhere before Cleveland?

I was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. I’ve been in Cleveland for 6 years on and off. I was stationed in Washington and other parts of the U.S. while I served.

Any local Artists you admire that you’ve never met?

Yeah dude Ghost Noises! Love their persona on the internet, love how they speak up about issues in the industry, love the blending of hip hop and vaporwave.

Anyone you’d like to Collaborate with?

Yeah Justin Vernon hit me up. I think Nosaj Thing and I could make something pretty cool? I’d love to produce an album for Sade. William Basinski but I have no idea what that would look like lol

Anyone you’ve collaborated with recently?

I’m currently collaborating with the great Teragram on a song coming out in October.

What’s the next move?

When I get all of these projects out I’ll be going off the grid again indefinitely to get my mind right.
